Exhibition marks 100 years of the Girl Guides
A special exhibition celebrating the centenary of Girl Guiding can be seen at Rhondda Heritage Park, Trehafod, until early November.

To celebrate the dedication of all those involved in the coal industry and their contribution to the fortunes of Cardiff, a piece of Rhondda coal has been unveiled at Cardiff Castle.
The coal was hewn from the seams at Lewis Merthyr Colliery, Trehafod, now the site of the Rhondda Heritage Park.
