Tir a Threftadaeth – Landscape and Inheritance.

This exhibition examines the contemporary and historic

landscape around the former mining village of Wattsville,

in the lower Sirhowy Valley, where Osi Rhys Osmond’s

father and mother were born and where his father, uncles

and grandfathers worked as miners.

Barry Lewis /  you are what you eat …. with!  

A truly memorable sculptural exhibition of beasts large

or small, imaginary or actual, mythological, extinct,

cute, endangered, powerful or harmless created from

upcycled kitchen equipment and utensils.  Also included

is a collection of weird and wonderful sea creatures.

Open Art Summer Show

Rhondda Heritage Park’s annual art event.

Submissions will be received on Saturday 30th June & Sunday 1st July. 

Cash prizes for the three winning entries are £1000, £500 & £250.  There will also be a £50 prize for the Visitors’ Choice Award selected by visitors to the Gallery throughout the exhibition. 

 

Artists can submit up to three pieces for just £5 per entry.  Entries are welcomed in any media, providing the work can be wall hung.  Artworks up to a maximum size of 36”x 36” (91.5 x 91.5cms) in any direction will be accepted.   Following submission a panel of judges will select up to 200 artworks to form the Open Art Summer Show 2012.
