Workshops
Rhondda Heritage Park is able to provide Victorian themed workshops for children. These are particularly useful for KS1 & KS2 pupils and we can accomodate up to 30 pupils per day. For these to be successful the event would need the active co operation of the accompanying teacher.
Children can use the cottage space and shop area, where they can use pre-decimal currency and see & feel items available from the period.
The cottage can demonstrate living conditions and is particularly useful for washday scenarios. These workshops can be tailor made to suit the time available and are free of charge to schools in the Borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff. Schools outside this Borough can book workshops at an additional charge.
Should the children wish to see and explore old artefacts from the Victorian period then workshops can be created to help what teachers need on the day.
Children can dress as miners for the Victorian period and use facsimile objects to re-create the period feel.
